A Different "Note Pad"

I made this notepad out of a 4" x 6" piece of scrap wood from my dh's wood pile. I covered it with paper, Cricut cut the words "Jot It Down", did a little quilling and then glued a post it note pad on the front. I painted the 1" balls a light turqouise to match the paper and then glazed them with a gold transparent finish. This makes the notepad holder sit up a bit, much easier to write on! The pen holder proved to be more of a challenge than I had expected! I bought a plastic pen holder at the office supply store, but after the pen was decorated, it was too fat (just like me...sigh) to fit in the holder. So after several attempts at figuring something out, I came up with the ribbon tube on the side. This is still a "work in progress", but I'll figure it out sooner or later...

A Little Tin Can...

This was a tin can that came with Hershey flavored lip gloss in it. One of my girls got this for Christmas last year and I just could not throw it away. I just knew a great idea would strike me one day and I would be looking for a can just like this to do this...

A Little Tin Can...

Here is the tin after the paper and prima's were added. I tried really hard to cover the lid (so many possiblities with the clear inset window), but alas, the paper made the box too thick and the lid would not fit. I tried to work the lid with a pair of plyers to make it bigger, but that didn't work out too good for me or the lid. Now it is slightly "warped" if you get my drift...

A Little Tin Can...

...and this is the finished project! The tin is filled with pink note paper that just fit perfectly! The brown square is the magnet with a chipboard heart, a prima flower and a real bird feather from the yard! Gotta love it!!

More Books

I've had this little book covered in this "water-blue" paper for quite a while. I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I just sat down and finished it today. The saying"my little book of lists, notes and don't forgets!" is printed on velum. The Primas give it a nice touch, don't you think?

Shopping Anyone?

This was also a $1 book from Michaels-love those little books! Another "stick" chick (Karen Stolper/American Art Stamp) who loves to shop! I printed the "shopping notes" in brown and matted in dark bronze.

Stick Chick Magnets

These magnets were made from the $1 magnets at Michaels. I covered them with solid paper and stamped them with a "stick chick" from Karen Stolper at American Art Stamp. I just love these girls!
